With my affinity for all things nature-y in textiles I came upon Joel Dewberry and his fabrics. His five lines are generally organized into complimentary tones and patterns that are fun and unexpected. My favorites though are the patterns that involve elements like leaves, branches and stamen.
These orchid flowers are terrific and I love the repeat.
The branches above remind me of the coral fans I saw scuba diving in January.
Stamen – who knew they’d make such a great repeat pattern – clearly Joel did! In addition to drawing inspiration from nature he also re-imagines more traditional patterns like damask and lattices with new colors and his “eclectic modern” sensibility.
Above is the damask.
This eggplant ironwork pattern I think would be a great upholstery material or accent pillow.
